Balance is a key concept in achieving health. It is an interesting exercise to consider how balanced your life is. Take a piece of paper and draw a couple of big circles. One is for your time and energy, the second is for your finances. Divide it up – often you will find it is imbalanced, with time, energy and finance for yourself rather lacking. Or you may find you are spending a considerable amount of money on take-away foods, coffee, cigarettes and alcohol – when you know that if this money were redirected to health supporting means you would be a lot better off. Ultimately only you are responsible for your health. You don’t want to get to a position of serious ill health and say to yourself “If only I had listened to those warning signs my body sent me!
